• I understand that the techniques Nikki/R&R EFT uses, including EFT, guided visualization, and other energy modalities, are complementary practices that do not replace the care of a doctor or psychiatric professional.

• I understand that Nikki/R&R EFT is not a licensed mental health professional or medical professional of any kind. She does not diagnose or treat any medical conditions.

• If I am being treated by a mental health professional and/or doctor, I understand that it is imperative to discuss any changes I am considering with my doctor or therapist first.

• I agree to assume full responsibility for my physical, mental, and emotional health, and I, my heirs, family members, or legal representatives waive any liability claim against Nikki/R&R EFT from all physical, mental, or emotional changes, known or unknown, that may be attributed to EFT or any other modalities used.

• In many cases, in order to get the best results, it will require me to continue some introspective work on my own time outside of the sessions.

• I am welcome and encouraged to ask to discontinue or stop a process at any point if I ever feel uncomfortable.

• I am welcome to ask questions at any time about the process.

Session Length

• Please respect the session length and use email afterward if there are any questions that we did not have time to address during our allotted time.

Payment, Billing, and Cancellation

• I understand that payment is due before the time of the session.

• Cancellations must take place within 18 hours of the scheduled appointment; otherwise, payment will be kept in full.

• If there are extenuating circumstances, please contact me.

• If I do not show up for a session, payment will be kept in full.

• If I am late for the start time of a session, the ending time remains the same.

• If there is any possible flexibility, Nikki/R&R EFT will try to accommodate.

Informed Consent

General Information

• These documents contain important information about the professional services, financial responsibility, and business policies of Nikki/R&R EFT.

• They provide a framework for understanding the services I am considering.

• Please read them carefully and email Nikki/R&R EFT with any questions before signing them.

• If I decide to use Nikki/R&R EFT services and sign these documents, it will represent an agreement between Nikki/R&R EFT and me.

Training & Experience

• Nikki/R&R EFT is a Certified Clinical Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Practitioner.

• The term “Clinical EFT” refers to the evidence-based method that has been validated in research studies to meet the APA Division 12 Task Force requirements on Empirically Validated Treatments.

• Nikki/R&R EFT received her Clinical EFT certification in 2025 with EFT Universe.

• EFT Universe was the first organization whose training has been accredited for Continuing Medical Education (CME/CE) credit for major healing professions, including doctors (AMA), nurses (ANCC), psychologists (APA), and social workers (NASWB).

EFT Roots, Research, and Limitations

• In the 1980s, a clinical psychologist named Roger Callahan found that clients made rapid shifts in psychological trauma when psychotherapy was combined with tapping on acupressure points.

• Callahan’s method was later simplified as EFT and published in a manual in the 1990s.

• EFT draws from acupuncture, exposure therapy, cognitive reframing, and many other time-honored approaches to healing.

• EFT involves light tapping with the fingers on acupuncture points (acupoints).

• A study published in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease found that EFT lowered the major stress hormone cortisol significantly more than other interventions tested.

• EFT is used to address physical and emotional distress and can be used as a self-help tool between appointments.

• Numerous published studies report that EFT may help with symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and pain reduction.

• EFT is not used to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any physical illness, psychological illness, or mental health disorder.

• Consequently, Nikki/R&R EFT sessions do not provide medical diagnoses nor offer cures.

• While EFT has gained scientific support, it is meant to complement, not replace psychiatric, psychological, or medical treatment from licensed healthcare professionals.

• As I work with Nikki/R&R EFT, there is no guaranteed outcome in any individual or individual session.

• Sessions are a time to engage with and learn tools to address the emotional side effects of triggering events.

Possible Side Effects and Responsibility

• There have not been reports of distressing side effects when EFT is administered by a qualified practitioner, but this does not mean I will not discover negative side effects for myself.

• If I do experience side effects, I agree to notify Nikki/R&R EFT and take the best course of action.

• These techniques may bring to the surface issues and memories that need addressing, perhaps ones I was not aware of before the client-practitioner relationship began.

• If this happens, I agree to inform my practitioner as soon as is reasonable.

• Since Nikki/R&R EFT may be with another client and unable to respond immediately, if I have an emergency and cannot reach her quickly enough, I will call my family doctor or 911 as the situation merits.

• My consent to use these techniques involves my voluntary agreement to take full responsibility for my well-being, progress, and behavior and to indemnify practitioner Nikki/R&R EFT.

• My signature below indicates that I have read the information in the document above, understand it fully, have discussed any questions or matters of concern with Nikki/R&R EFT and/or others, and agree to abide by its terms during my professional relationship with Nikki.

Confidentiality & Liability Form

​

Confidentiality

• I understand that I am entitled to confidentiality with certain exceptions in which reporting may be legally required, such as current abuse of a minor, elderly, or disabled person, or the threat of serious bodily harm to myself or others.

• I understand that confidentiality may no longer be legally protected should a judge make certain orders in certain legal proceedings, and I have been advised to consult with an attorney if I am involved in a legal situation in which such confidentiality may be at issue.

Professional Consultation

• I understand that Nikki/R&R EFT may occasionally find it helpful to consult other professionals about her work with me.

• During a consultation, she will make every effort to avoid revealing my identity.

• The consultant is also bound to keep the information confidential.

• If I do not object, she will not tell me about these consultations unless she feels it is important to our work together.

Family / Partner Services

• I understand that if Nikki/R&R EFT is asked to provide services to my spouse, partner, or another member of my family, I will establish the limits of confidentiality with her in advance.

• I understand that it generally confines a practitioner’s effectiveness when required to keep secrets. Therefore, Nikki/R&R EFT’s policy, in most circumstances, is that what I say and what I do can be shared with my other family members or partners Nikki/R&R EFT is working with, if this arrangement has been agreed upon in advance.

• If this is the arrangement established, I will not tell her anything I wish to keep secret from those individuals.

• If confidential information is a concern, it may be better for each person to work with different practitioners.

Online Sessions, Notes, and Privacy

• Since Nikki/R&R EFT sessions are conducted via Zoom or another electronic platform, I understand that it is not possible to guarantee the confidentiality of information transmitted electronically, although I recognize that she will not knowingly share my information or identity.

• I understand that Nikki/R&R EFT may use secure video platform note-taking or AI-assisted meeting summary tools during sessions to help capture important details, support continuity between sessions, and supplement handwritten notes. These records are kept privately on Nikki/R&R EFT’s secured personal computer and are not shared without my written permission, except where required by law.

• She also keeps written notes from my sessions in a secure place.

• These notes may be shared with any medical professionals I may be seeing, if I so desire and with my written consent, through a secure portal.

Ending Services

• I understand that normally I will be the one who decides when my work together with Nikki/R&R EFT will end, but there are three exceptions:

  • Nikki/R&R EFT determines that she is unable, for any reason, to provide me with the services I am requesting in a professional manner and refers me to another practitioner who may better meet my needs.

  • I verbally or physically threaten or harass Nikki/R&R EFT or her family, in which case she reserves the right to terminate me as a client immediately and unilaterally.

  • Nikki/R&R EFT reserves the right to refuse or terminate a session if I, or anyone in the session with me, is suspected of being under the influence of a mood-altering substance.

• I understand that I will be responsible for and charged the full normal fee should that happen.

Acknowledgment

• I acknowledge that I have read and understand the above statements regarding EFT and Nikki/R&R EFT services and have discussed any concerns with her.

• Therefore, I consent to engage Nikki/R&R EFT services freely and without duress of any kind and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nikki/R&R EFT for any information on her website and resources she shares, and from any claim, action, loss, liability, damage, or suit arising from my participation in and use of the information and techniques.

• I agree to abide by the above terms during our professional relationship.

Financial Agreement

• I understand that sessions must be purchased in advance of my meeting with Nikki/R&R EFT on her website, Resilience & Relief EFT.

• If Nikki/R&R EFT and I are near the end of a session, and I would like to continue longer than the time I paid for, and if Nikki/R&R EFT does not have another commitment, I may continue the session for a longer period at a prorated amount equal to the plan I purchased, rounded to the nearest quarter hour, due at the end of the session.

• Once an appointment has been scheduled, I understand that I will be expected to pay for it unless I provide Nikki/R&R EFT with 18 hours’ advance notice of cancellation.

• If I am late, I understand that we will still end our session on time and not run over into the next person’s session.

• If I miss a session without canceling, or cancel with less than 18 hours’ notice, I understand that I must still pay for that session unless we both agree that I was unable to attend due to circumstances beyond my control.

• If we do not both come to that agreement, I understand that I will not be refunded for that missed session.

• I recognize that the purchase prices for each type of session package are listed on Nikki/R&R EFT’s TidyCal scheduling link on her website.

• I also agree to pay for the entire session if I am, or anyone with me is, under the influence of any mood-altering drugs during our scheduled session, even if the session is cut short due to that event.

• My signature below indicates that I have read the financial information in the document above, understand it fully, have discussed any questions or matters of concern with Nikki/R&R EFT, and agree to abide by its terms during our professional relationship.
